This isn’t easy since most restaurants focus on dinner and brunch isn’t really an option. When we found out that Barbounya was doing brunch we were excited to see not only a restaurant with a solid reputation serve brunch but also that it was an ethnic brunch since Barbounya serves Turkish food. Mother’s Day 2013

Mothers day Brunch is around the corner, and if you are reading this you are trying to figure out where to go. Mother’s day brunch is always tricky because you want the perfect spot and sometimes what you think is perfect may not be what your brother and sister may think is perfect. Do you look for a spot with a terrace? Do you do a brunch Buffet? Do you want a kid friendly spot? Or do you want somewhere fancy? The goal of his years Mother’s day review is to give you the tools to choose the perfect spot since we all want to make Mom happy.

The 411 Ethnic brunch is often a concept rather difficult to pull off. Many have a choice to make: you can go the classic Montreal breakfast route, disregarding their ethnic tradition; you can try to go full ethnic and put something traditional on the table at the risk of it being closer to lunch than brunch; and sometimes, you strike a balance between the two. Su is a Turkish restaurant that I’ve been to for dinner before and quite enjoyed the meals there. I’ve always gone with at least one Turkish person so they help in navigating the menu and make those hard decisions as to what to order.
