La Croissanterie Figaro
A Paris cafe around the corner
The 411
Tucked away in Outremont (yet still close enough to downtown) Figaro is a breath of fresh air that takes you away from the urban landscape of traffic and noise and transports you to what many describe as a small piece of Paris. The ambiance is almost as delectable as the food.

The interior is absolutely beautiful and it has a touch of class rarely seen in the city. Some of the older tables (near the corner window) have old industrial sewing machine bottoms and marble looking tops. Upon coming in you see a glassed off bin of croissants, each asking to be eaten. There is a giant coffee maker against the wall, and while it is more decorative than functional, it’s a wonder to look at. Although it is more a bistro than a breakfast place and the menu is limited, you should check this place out and add it to your list. The terrace is a definite must in the summertime; lounging in the open air with the sun above while having a coffee is the closest thing you can get to heaven.
