I tried the Chateau Vaudreuil brunch at my friend's wedding this summer. Most things in the above review are very true. I'd like to add a few things though:
Positives: Really yummy spinach eggs benedict; they now have an omelet station; lots of variety; beautiful views of the terrace if you have a window table or are sitting in the section reserved for private groups

Negatives: $4.00 for one glass(about 200ml) of orange juice! Poor waiter/waitress service. Either they were really short staffed or the staff was having an off day. Nobody seems to be around when you have a question to ask and when you do ask somebody they seem politely irritated and in a hurry to get away from you. The first cup of coffee took over an hour to get after asking for it several times-the first cup of tea took even longer than that! I would have been fine getting up and pouring my own coffee a la buffet style but there was no coffee jug in sight, and when the jug of orange juice was spotted and we poured some for ourselves, we were told that we are not supposed to take the jug. I don't even get that one because after having asked the calmly harried, disappearing waitress for orange juice several times without any results, you would think that she'd be happy we were giving her one less thing to do! In fact, getting any of o our beverages was like pulling and insanely difficult tooth. When we first sat at our table, the waitress was completely unaible to explain how the buffet/ menu service worked and how it was priced. There was no written explanation inside the dining room either. There was one somewhere in the room hotel guide and I think at the entrance to the dining room, but even those did not tell you that their orange juice costs $4.00 dollars a glass! (I'm really hung up on this as you can tell). If they did mention something, it was really not noticeable baecause my friend and I would definitely not have oredered it. BTW it now costs about $43 dollars per person, not including the darn orange juice! I felt so cheated.. I was also paying for my friend and it cost me $124.00 with the taxes and the mandatory gratuity. I did not tip our waitress for the next-to non-existent service. Not sure what was going on with her but she looked tired and kind of stressed so maybe she was overwhelmed with customers or she wasn't comfortable speaking English. Her English was fine when she finally got around to telling us that we also had the option of ordering a beef, or chicken, or fish, or veal a la carte dish to go with our buffet options. By that time we had all stuffed ourselves on the buffet and had even had some dessert, because we thought that the buffet was all that was offered due to her lack of explanation when we first sat down. I ordered a chicken breast in a mushroom sauce and I will say that it was very tasty and moist but might not be great for those who cannot have salt. The seasoning was quite noticeable but good. People should also know that the buffet is really mainly salads, vegetables and legumes with some battered and fried things like broccoli, calamari, etc. There is smoked salmon and boiled eggs too. The omelet station consists of someone who pours a thin layer of beaten eggs into a frying pan and tops it with your choice among finely chopped onions, peppers, tomatoes, ham, cheese, and possibly mushrooms. There were six options and you could choose your combination. She puts about two large tablespoons of your filling combo in the middle of the eggs and folds your omelet over before sliding it onto your plate. It was nice but quite small and rather dainty. You could make more satisfying omelets at home. I guess you could come back for more but in case they cut you off after a few too many times in line you could also take two or three plates, ordering an omelet for each as if you're ordering them for other people, and then sliding them all onto one plate for yourself when safely back at your table. I did not try just asking the cook for two omelets on one plate because the whole affair felt like one must carry oneself with dignity and decorum when acquiring one's omelet so as not to seem greedy and ill mannered before one's patiently waiting (and hungrily observing) fellow omelet seekers. Anyway, I took both an omelet and half of a spinach eggs benedict for myself, and cannot say that I was satisfied in the egg department. Be aware that those are your only egg options on the breakfast side of things-no regular eggs benedict, nor any scrambled eggs or sunny-side ups etc. There are absolutely no breafast meat options (sausage, bacon) and no toast, plain pancakes or breakfast potatoes. I was really in a breakfast mood so I did not think to check the big cold buffet for any ham. I could only find pancakes that were filled and covered with buttery sugared apples pieces, or some kind of berry jam or compote. Tasty, but really filling and more dessert-like. I would suggest you take just one. They did have cheese and chopped melon, strawberries, oranges, grapes and possibly other fruits. Did not see any yogourt or granola. Overall, if you really want breakfast, order and eat it in your room or you will be less than satisfied. The buffet is overwhelmingly more lunch than breakfast. Good luck getting something to drink. Save room for the a la carte menu, and make sure that if you are a practical sort of person, you are willing to overpay for a meal that can honestly be described as alright.
